Most of us live lives that are cut off from the primary source of our sustenance: nature and the natural processes that create abundance on our planet. When we get into a natural setting such as the
Using contemplative techniques that enhance communication between human and nature, we will explore our experience of ourselves in the outdoors and deepen our connection to the life around us. We will awaken ourselves to the web of life and become participants in the more-than-human world.
Participation in this program will offer:
A deepened connection with nature and increased awareness of the interdependence of all living forms on our planet
Accessing the natural surroundings in ways that support self-esteem and enhanced self-image
Reducing stress and increasing relaxation by nurturing a relationship to the environment
Promoting the ability to focus, concentrate, and maintain mental clarity
Strengthening of nature intelligence
Enhanced sensory awareness
Increased skill in nonverbal communication with natural entities
Facilitation of spiritual awareness through nature practices
This course meets the qualifications for 14 hours of continuing education credit for MFTs and LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
