Psychotherapy . . .

The events that prompt someone to engage in this process can include personal crisis, life transition, divorce, relationship problems, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, chronic pain, grief, or a variety of other challenges which many people face at some time in their lives.  The process of therapy is primarily moved along by the relationship between the therapist and the seeker.

My approach . . .

With thirty years of experience in the mental health field, I have blended my initial trainings with my experience of working with people to develop my own eclectic blend of therapy.  I have incorporated guided imagery, relaxation, meditation, dream work, eco-therapy, and EMDR into the work I do.  I am interested in promoting your psychological and emotional growth.  I want to help you draw out the insight and wisdom you carry, using my presence  to bring healing and nurturing and help you, if you so desire, to move toward transformation and wholeness.

My focus . . .

When I work with someone in this process, I take maximum care to respect the other’s individuality and unique set of circumstances.  This allows me to engage in a fresh manner with each person who comes into my sphere.  Although I may have dealt with similar problems on many occasions, I am aware that each person before me presents their own particular history, perspective, and desires.  I am very careful to tune in to each person’s own way of experiencing and deciding and do my best to help them grow in the way that fits their unique destiny.
