Nature Practices are a method of ecotherapy I have developed to introduce people to the benefits of the more-than-human world and to enhance those benefits for people who are already accessing them.

The nature practices I have developed come from my exposure, through reading and experiential exercises, to others who have been doing this work for some time.

My research in the areas of neuroscience, psychology, cell biology, linguistics, education, cosmology, environmental philosophy, and art supports the effectiveness of accessing nature for transformative work.

Contributions from indigenous cultures and the world’s spiritual traditions have also informed the practices I have developed.

The practices employ contemplative techniques to access communication and relationship with natural entities in order to promote mutual healing.  By focusing intently on the natural surroundings, one may enter into a deepening experience of wholeness and connection.

I engage in these activities with groups and individuals, guiding, and nurturing relationship with the natural surroundings, soliciting feedback, and reemploying involvement with the environment.

The practices are constantly evolving and are a little different each time I do them.
